Firefox sound distroted (has noise sound) on Dell Inspiron Plus 7620. Using Chrome and Edge on same computer have no this noise sound problem.

I updated latest sound controller driver from Dell official site.

System: Dell Inspiron Plus 7620, Realtek + MaxxAudio sound controller, Windows 11 24H2, Firefox 137

Website: YouTube, Spotify

Hi Sasamiya,

You’ve already done the right troubleshooting by comparing Firefox with Chrome and Edge on the same machine — that immediately points to something specific in Firefox’s audio path. On the Inspiron Plus 7620, the Realtek + MaxxAudio combo can be a little picky, and Firefox sometimes ends up using a different audio format or handling method that MaxxAudio doesn’t process cleanly, which shows up as the buzzing or distorted noise you’re hearing.

A few quick fixes tend to resolve it: try turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox (Settings → General → Performance), and temporarily disable MaxxAudio audio enhancements to see if the distortion disappears. Setting your Realtek output device to 16-bit, 48000 Hz in Windows Sound settings also helps in cases where Firefox is outputting at a format MaxxAudio doesn’t expect on APK Spotify Premium. If the issue persists, resetting Firefox’s audio sandbox level to default in about:config often clears it up for Dell systems with similar setups.
