I have noticed lately that Firefox will stop youtube videos and crash. I have to turn it off then back on and have a few minutes before it crashes again...I tried alternative browsers and this does not happen...

My Firefox browser tabs have recently, and frequently, crashing as well. It's not just video sites but also any sort of page I happen to have open, including personal blogs. It is quite frustrating, and it prompts me to have to use an alternate browser.

did you use the vertical tabs? I'm experiencing the same issue as you are.

Horizontal tabs for me (I've never cared for vertical tabs).

That's too bad.

Like two updates ago watching youtube or twitch randomly makes the browser crash in seconds or minutes, random intervals. And pretty hard crashing, occasionally it loses all the bookmarks and all logins on pages. It's incredibly frustrating because you have to be at the end of the keyboard constantly monitoring and clicking the "restart browser" button or often times you don't get even that, you just manually launch the browser again and hope it didn't lose everything again. I'm at the edge of just changing browsers because this isn't the first time in a year that firefox has been crashing a lot and ruining work flow, becoming almost unusable.

Im using Fedora 42 Firefox 146 and on a brand new MB and AMD Ryzen 5 CPU / GPU. I've noticed that FireFox crashes after playing Video. And that the Audio SubSystem PipeWire crashes. I thought it was from bad memory sticks, but I've tested them with memtest multiple times, and it hasn't found anything. So, I'm beginning to think that it's a bad Emulator. Either JavaScrip or WebASM.
