Has anyone noticed the increased resources Firefox 132.0.1 uses as reported by Task Manager? No other process even approaches what Firefox now demands. Firefox is routinely using 50-100% more RAM (>800MB) than Edge (500MB) and it causes my desktop computer fans to rev. My laptop slows to a painful crawl when I open Firefox now. Shutdown Firefox and both simmer right down. What's going on?

I'm here for obviously the same reason. I suddenly saw my M3 iMac breaching the 100% CPU usage and everything froze. Turned out it was Firefox. WTF.

Yes, same experience here. Current installed version - Firefox v.133 is still using HUGE amounts of RAM....example: right now the ONLY page I have open is this one. It's using 911mb of RAM!!!! Why?!!? Firefox has been slowing down since updating to v.132. I have tried every "trick" to improve performance, NOTHING WORKS. Please, Firefox team, HELP!! Thank you!

Not only is it eating up a ton of RAM, the latest update is awful! web pages that used to load instantly or in a second i am now waiting MINUTES to load. it's like my internet reverted to freaking DIAL UP! they need to be making it LEANER, not bloating the crap out of it!

Same here, for some reason according to task manager there's 11 instances of firefox running while I have it open once, with two tabs. Nearly 1 gig or ram being sucked up by it in total, it's stuttering and pausing all the time. The longer it's open the more resources it suck up until it becomes unusable.
I've used Firefox for decades, but am seriously considering changing now.
