Firefox Browser

Making moves

My brother in Canberra use to use Firefox on my suggestion.
I sent him video's how to configure Firefox with browser extensions especially uBlock Origin. We had contact mainly on WhatsApp. He complained the other day he was getting ads on YouTube and was frustrated with Firefox, because he had to reconfigure. Obviously he never checked the videos I sent him. He installed Brave. I've used Firefox for a long time and also in my Android phone and never had any problems with adds on YouTube or any websites. No cookie notices , no warning to disable ad blocker. The only settings I've changed recently was Enhancer for YouTube. We don't communicate anymore when I told him I installed Brave and immediately uninstalled to compare with Firefox. Brave on its website of course claims it provides more security and privacy compared to Firefox. I always promote Mozilla Firefox and always will. Thanks to all who contribute to Firefox.
All the best.

Ads are cat and mouse, they do changes to bypass the blocker, the blocker makes changes to bypass the ads, the browser has little to do with this.

Hi Boobieta

Thanks for the info.
uBlock Origin is a very good example. I visited Brave website and they wrote Firefox was using Google as a search engine. Firefox has a lot of options for search engines. I don't know of any other browser that provides anywhere near the amount that Firefox provides with Browser extensions. I use Startpage to search. I tried Opera a year or 2 ago and it was full of ads and very difficult to uninstall. I used Revo Uninstaller Pro and it took me around 20 minutes to clean out all the Opera junk in the registry. Thanks to all. All the best from Shaun in Yuen Long Hong Kong.
