firefox android tab menu redesign performance issues

great that you guys got to redesign the look and feel, must be very fun for you, maybe also try to compare the performance between the old and new next time you foist a redesign upon unsuspecting users, because it used to be snappy but now it will hang for multiple seconds without responding to input. which makes it almost unusable.

is there a way to roll back to the previous version of the browser?

Steps on how to change the interface to the old design can be found here: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/some-hopefully-helpful-perspectives-on-problems-with-the-...

I do love that the interface is being brought to more modern standards. My eyes like it. Having the new tab button in the bar is also really helpful, and I'm glad the mobile team is looking to improve the app.

I'm also having performance issues with the new redesign, and indeed it's been hard to use the app since.

Is there any way we could help to diagnose the performance issues? I'll try to take a look at the more technical channels to see if there's something we can do.

I wish this redesign had been communicated properly and made opt in for some time in order to gather community feedback before rolling it out to everyone. But what is done is done for now. I'm guessing the team is already on emergency mode trying to figure things out. After that, they'll learn valuable lessons from this and will improve, and firefox mobile will be a better product, which is what we all want. So let's all be patient, constructive and respectful, shall we? Mozilla isn't Microsoft.

Cheers to y'all
