Firefox and browsers wars

Making moves

I have been loyal user of Firefox for decades. I use it for surfing and internet, while I use Chrome for software development (sorry, their Dev Tools is much better)

In the recent years I experience more and more issues with Firefox rendering and working with web pages, and amount of non-working web pages is growing exponentially, so it soon may reach singularity point.

I have to go and open same pages in Chrome, where they work fine. Every time I complain, website support responds: "Don't use Firefox, only Chrome supported". Many important sites, such as government, medical, banking stopped rendering in Firefox

I can't fight this fight anymore, I am so close to move to Chrome despite loosing some benefits of Firefox I gained during years.

Firefox foundation needs to find solution to this problem asap. Maybe it is time to move to Webkit engine as everyone else did, so you can save whatever you can in Firefox's realm

Excuse the butt-in but having similar issues with Edge and Google.  Is customer capture the issue?

Guys user here not a dev for years but been doing Tech services and PCs since 1981. I have built networks for small businesses as recently as 2008 but retired long ago, so in today's AI world I am just a user again. I dropped MS Office for open source Libre Office and have used Firefox for years. I also dropped Outlook for Thunderbird. I am running very recent hardware with 10th and 11th gen Intel i7 and i5s, and 1TB M.2 drives and 32GB RAM.

I have tried to navigate a new biz from 3 years ago and it won't scroll. It is https://lightshiprv.com/
Today I decided to try MS Edge and it was like a miracle, works great in Edge. I went to Thunderbird because MS started inserting ads in my email inbox and just tired of it. I hesitated to go to Linux but might as well. I stayed with Windows and the big companies because there was help only a phone call or email/text away. And even if I wasn't the one to try to get it fixed the big companies would fix it anyway eventually. Now everyone wants to have me deal with their Bots. And the Lightship folks don't even have a phone number. I am sending them this as a CC.

These guys are high tech and high priced so I expected them to want all to access their info and have the chops to do a website. I did mine and it was fine.  Is it their bad coding on their website and because if so I don’t think I want their coding in my RV. If it is FireFox just let me know because I do not want to use MS apps anymore. Thunderbird is also not intuitive but that is for another post/whine.

If it is Mozilla what IS THE DEAL?? I CONTRIBUTE A FEW BUCKS TO MOZILLA EVERY YEAR BUT IF NO ONE ELSE IS, SORRY I CANNOT AT 73 SUPPORT A WHOLE COMPANY. Nor do I have the patience to deal with glitchy apps. THAT’S WHY I AM LWEAVING MS AND HALFWAY DONE!

If I am going to be on my own I might as well learn Linux and drop Windows and all non-functional open source projects like Mozilla. I am from the DOS days and did .bat files to automate not inaccurate and lying AI bots.

SO can you guys tell me if it is them or Firefox?
