Firefox 138.0.1 on Windows 10.
The FF Setting > General > Browser Layout > Show Sidebar is not checked.
I always have Bookmarks visible with Menu: View > Sidebar > Bookmarks
Since FF138 the first instance of FF will show the Bookmarks Sidebar. Subsequent instances of FF138 will not display the Bookmarks Sidebar by default and I must use the menu or the button on my toolbar to turn it on. I would really like this to work like it did before FF138 and have the Bookmarks sidebar visible in all instances started.
THX!

For me, it was enough to delete the "xulstore.json" file. After that, everything worked as before.

I can't repro it. There was a bug fix for it that landed in v138, so you could report it as another possible [bug](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi/).

This worked for me too! Thank you!!
It would resolve in Safe Mode, but persisted with all of my extensions disabled.
