March 31st Firefox updated to 137 x64 at, apparently, the same moment Spectrum's Security Suite (F-Secure Total "proprietary") updated to it's newest version, 25.x.x, (sorry no details there, I had to uninstall it to get my system back). After finding an online set of several anti-malware scanners and uninstallers from verified anti-malware providers, on a 2nd-backup computer, downloading it/them to a thumbdrive, copying it/them to the primary/main 'puter, installing it, then running it to prove my system was uninfected in any way, then finding the F-Secure Official Uninstaller online, downloading it and running it, I got my system back but had to find and delete every instance of Security Suite I could find on it, OPEN Firefox 137 IN SAFE MODE to correct issues with EVERY URL of sites I had saved to my DESKTOP, and succeeded, there are STILL issues with how Firefox runs and some History related functions that seem hinckey. One small indication is on clicking History and clicking Clear Recent History (I have Everything chosen) , the mouse pointer would usually go directly to the CLEAR button, it now lands in the dialogue window but NOT on the CLEAR button. Yes, I have my mouse details set to "single click" and "Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialogue box". But now it doesn't go there ONLY in Firefox. Any ideas? No, I will not "take a flying leap" or "take a long run on a short pier", but I will thank any real suggestions to how to check and prove the cause for this anomaly.
Thanks,

I think Firefox 137 does not play well with other AV programs as well. I use SecureAnywhere by Webroot and have in all my computer for about 10 years. It works with everything so I also run it with AvastOne. I've run AvastOne for about 3 years. Avast runs well with Webroot/SecureAnywhere. I've run dual AV programs for over 20 years. What I think has happened is both SecureAnywhere and Avast have very robust internet and computer malware blocking and Firefox 137 will not work with those types of programs. Webroot updates about every day or so and AvastOne just updated the end of March. Every other secure browser I run works with AvastOne and Webroot along with Windows security set to run occasionally. It's been 13 days since FF137 launched and there are comments all over the web about it not resolving/loading and freezing. One site I use has a Cloudfare front end and almost every site like that fails. Banking sites, Amazon, even some news sites will not run. My other browsers have no problem and use blocking and site probes with no problem. At this point all I can do is just wait it out. I started using Opera, Edge and Avast Secure Browser. I try to stay away from Chrome and use Safari on my phone. Hopefully this will resolve soon.

I'm about to log off this and close this "account" . Since no one has replied or proffered solutions from Mozilla, I'm tired dealing with all this. I'd hoped for solutions, but MY only means to use Firefox is to uninstall Spectrum Security Suite by F-Secure and use Safe Mode in Firefox to re-write each and every link/URL manually. This way I have use of Firefox but will NOT allow updates unless or until I get confirmation Firefox is fixed and stable again. I'm not savvy enough to understand ins and outs of software and it's engineering. SO, Thanks but I am out of here. Have a great future and stay as safe and sane as you can. I'm not likely to.
So Long.

Good Luck. I agree, there have been no answers at all and to have to jump through hoops just is not worth it, especially with the millions of point and click users who know nothing about the inner workings of software. Just too many steps to fix this version. Most people can't do most of the steps to try and fix it. Later!
