I appreciate the efforts to modernize the browser but I have some issues with the current implementation.
1. The tabs are very tall which makes it difficult to manage a large number of tabs
2. When the tabs at the top (private, tabs, sync) collapse there is a little auto scroll animation that pulls the tabs down further than the distance I scroll. This seems to have an amplified effect when I scroll quickly and I am never where I expected to scroll to when I take my finger off the screen. I would prefer the tabs not collapse at all rather than this behavior.
3. When I scroll down there is a grey area covering the top of the browser tabs list. There doesn't appear to be a reason for it's existence.
4. When I am scrolled down from the top of the browser tabs list and the tabs at the top change color the system bar at the top's background does not match the background color at the top of the app.
5. The system bar at the bottoms background color does not match the apps background color
6. The floating action buttons looks off center when the new tab button is expanded. The text on the new tab button is unnecessary because it's obvious what the button does. The text expanding everytime I scroll is distracting (especially because it's such a bright color in dark mode) (maybe only re-expand it when I get to the top of the list of you really think it's necessary). I would prefer it just be right aligned like most android FABs. And maybe have it disappear entirely when I scroll down. I think the vertical ellipses button is unnecessary but could be moved to the top of the screen, really it just looks wonky there must be a better solution, there are some nice options in the compose material catalogue app
7. The animation when I swipe a tab to the side to cost it is weird, the tabs gets stuck halfway across the page before disappearing when I swipe towards the center of the screen.
8. Then the tabs are in list view mode the active tab color is different from grid mode which looks very strange and using a border to shortage the tabs looks weird it should probably be a very narrow gap instead.
PS I had to type this all out twice because it failed to pay the first time
