I have an old laptop with Windows Vista.
I want to download and older version of Firefox to a thumb drive and then load to the laptop.
Is this possible?
The end goal is use use this laptop and a dedicated controller for a telescope mount.

No version of FF will load on Vista. Try 3rdfox (https://github.com/Eclipse-Community/r3dfox) or Mypal (https://www.mypal-browser.org/).
Edit: these two will have many more updated security patches than the one mentioned by the other commenter.

Hello
Firefox version 52.9.0 ESR was the last supported release for Windows XP and Windows Vista. No further security updates will be provided for those systems.
If you wish
Go to https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.9.0esr/
Or
Go to https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.9.0esr/
Open the directory win32, or, open the directory win64, it depends on your operating system. Next, download in your language, Firefox Setup 52.9.0esr.exe
