I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this given that I'm new to the Mozilla community forums, however, I thought I'd try to put it out somewhere in case somebody can help me.
As far as I'm aware, this is an issue with the latest version of Firefox for Windows desktop (148.0) - I'm unsure as to whether this can be consistently replicated on MacOS as I'm not a user of that environment.
This has been posted from an account associated with a business as it is something I noticed while using Shopify, something which I wouldn't normally be using as a personal user.
Essentially, for those familiar with the Shopify work space, when an order is created, a page is accessible to display the core information pertaining to it (e.g. order number, products, address details, etc.).
Sometimes it is necessary to print these order overviews in a physical format for filing - previous versions of Firefox did this completely fine with the only adjustments required being scaling options and pages printed, however, the current version of Firefox seems to have an issue with how the address information (shipping and billing information, specifically) are printed.
The preview is consistent with how printing physically eventuates, in that the lines get mushed together, rendering the text illegible.
At first, I thought this an issue with Shopify's API (as is most often the case), however, after having tested the print functions on other browsers such as Chrome and Safari (boo), order printing has been without issue.
I should also note that this error persists when trying to print to PDF, also.
Was something tweaked in the latest version to affect how Firefox aligns text when printing from a webpage? If so, how can this be remedied so that printing from a webpage does not affect text alignment?
Thanks to anyone that either has a solution or can motion this bug fix! 🙂
P.S. I would attach an example image of how this works but until I can get it signed off to create a dummy order for the sake of this example, I'm afraid that even in their illegible state, printed orders would still contain sensitive data resulting in a breach of GDPR if shared to the forum - sorry!
