I've been using Firefox for 20 years. Yes, pretty much right after it launched. I stuck through when it was pretty poopy in performance relative to Chrome (and that got fixed). I stuck through when the extension apocalypse happened (back around 2019?) and that got fixed.
Then you got a doofus who has been leading the enpoopification of FF for a couple years. Typical sociopath techbro exec. Now he's your CEO and he's declared FF is going to be completely enpoopified with AI. He's taken credit for the AI stopping your plummeting market share. No, it's because you already plunged from 30% to 2.5% and only us hardcore users are still using it. And now you're driving us away by becoming even worse than Chrome. You know what I want to do with my browser? To just browse websites without having my privacy violated. I absolutely can't trust you any more.
So I switched to Zen browser (it was easy) and have gotten about a dozen other people to switch. They're happy with it. Especially with how much faster it is when it's not burning 100x more CPU on 'AI'ing all their tabs all the time to suggest they group them. I will continue to suggest every FF user switch away.
So congrats, you're now the Windows 11 of browsers. If you ever fire this twit I might be back, depending on how much damage he's done in the meantime. But you're now burning through your core users.
