The attachment in the incoming mail, could not be saved to the specified folder. It is not not saving anywhere in the computer. In the settings for saving I have given "ask everytime". How to resolve this issue.

Can you open i? Detach it? Does it also not save in Troubleshoot mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird)?

Yes I can open the attachment, but it is not saving by clicking the button "save" on the bottom right side of the mail.

I have the same issue for the past few versions until now the latest version.
The workaround I use for the past few versions it to simply open the file and manually save it.
I can open the attachment
Saving it does nothing, it does not show up in the path provided
Trying to save in troubleshoot mode, same issue
Detach somehow works and it can save the attachment and appear in the path provided

McAfee antivirus for Win is known to cause that; not sure about any other products.

Fun times .... bugzilla.mozilla.org and connect.mozilla.org use different identity providers.
