If a recurring task is created it will be shown every time it is due, instead of one time per series as a summary task. This behavior makes the tasks screen very noisy because recurring tasks clog all the space, and add no meaningful content, and unique tasks get drowned out by all the noise.
If this behavior would be changed to only show a recurring task one time, the task screen would more closely match the behavior of other calendar task managers like task.org
