I wanted to know how the Master Password feature works and how it should be used. My idea about the master password is that when set, it will require a user to enter the password right after opening the browser and if the password is not entered correctly, it will then let the user browse in something like private mode, where all sign-ins cant be see. So I switched to Nightly few days ago from the main Firefox and I like it. So what I did is since I use the laptop alone, I haven't logged out of the services and mails I access with the browser and I was thinking master password is there to prevent unauthorised access. I started my browser, and it asked for a password, I assumed I didn't know and canceled it but I realized I was able to open the mails and some sites I have already logged in. So I wanted to know how the master password is to be used.
