I'm a mostly uninformed user that's been using vertical tabs via. the Tree Style Tabs extension for a long while before vers. 137. When I heard about the new native vertical tabs I excitedly switched and removed TST, only to find out that native vertical tabs did not have trees. I redownloaded TST and it's working fine, but there's a small strip that houses nothing but the ability to turn on TST and access to sidebar settings. I don't use these actions much at all, so I'd rather that strip be optionally removed via. main settings or something.

Attached is a picture of the sidebar I'm talking about with my tabs blurred.

i just got this update too and am using Tree Style Tabs, this extra strip ruins my scrollbar accessibility, i really liked being able to grab the TST scrollbar right on the edge of my screen without having to horizontally aim for it. if there is a way to force remove this "update" or this specific gap on the sidebar i would greatly appreciate that info.

Try Settings -> General -> Browser Layout, uncheck "Show sidebar"
