47 subsets to have 4 windows open????

Firefox is opening WAY to many redundacy protections.  When I open task manager I should NOT see Firefix (32 bit) (47).  47??????  To have 3 to 5 windows open at the same time?  47?????  For every window Firefox is opening 10 lines in task manager, and causing other issues with programs.  This is new, disturbing and I will be considering a break up.  I don't trust what you are doing/preventing with your endless propigation FF.
