Hi! I recently tried out storing passkeys in Bitwarden and using them in Firefox via the browser extension on desktop. It worked great, so I was stoked to try it out on my Android phone too. I had heard that Android would have good support for synced Passkeys via third party apps since Android 14, so I anticipated that it would work. Alas, disappointment ensued. It seems like Firefox for Android barely works at all with Passkeys. I cannot get my YubiKey to work, nor Android's native Passkey s...

Firefox supports WebAuthn, but as far as I could tell only with hardware tokens. I could not find a word about Firefoxs support of Passkeys (like Apple announced recently) anywhere Personally I don't know why passkeys werent adopted much sooner, it seems such a long hanging fruit to just store the key in the FF password manager. I use FF to support a web where there is not only one option, like Chrome, but FF keeps falling behind and behind instead of being at the forefront. This should be a...

Thunderbird shall allow users to authenticate with passkeys (FIDO2/WebAuthn) as an alternative to traditional password‑based login for all supported email accounts (Google and Microsoft for example).

I am happily using passkeys via a fido2 stick with fingerprint sensor since quite some time now for sites where it is supported and the number is growing. I am truly convinced that this is the technology that will finally free us from passwords once and for all! But I also know the normal user, for whom buying an additional device for logging in is far too much friction to ever use it. My (technologically savvy) girlfriend looks at me logging in with my fido2 stick and want to do the same w...

Extended passkey support in Firefox   1. You can save a passkey to your device, not just as a physical key 2. Passkeys sync between devices just like passwords do 3. If there is no passkey saved to Firefox for a website, fallback to one saved in your iCloud keychain (MacOS) iCloud passkeys in Safari:   iCloud passkeys in Chrome: Passkeys in Firefox (currently):

I setup PassKey for usage for my workplace, it functioned properly up until 142.0.1 was released and I am wondering if there are any settings that I need to tweak to make it work again.  Firefox seems to freeze up too (but doesn't show non-responsive) and I have to force quit.  I am on Mac OS 15.6.1.  Any ideas?

I remote into a Windows machine using Remote Desktop Protocol. When I attempt to login to a passkey-enabled site on Firefox, Firefox prompts me to "Touch your security key to continue with ....". However, this isn't possible because it is a remote machine. Chrome and Edge will forward the passkey request to the client device and login. Please support forwarding the passkey request to a client device.

Hello, I am Samuel. Firefox is a magnificent product, but the password manager is quite weird that it is not password protected naturally, so I need to give it a primary password. The problem now is I need to input that primary password many times even though I didn't use the password. I know it might be designed for security, so can you integrate it with Windows Hello like Chrome, so I can use fingerprints or IR camera when I need to input the primary password? Or you can reduce the scenery wh...
