Utter Disappointment with Firefox Performance

Dear Mozilla Team,

I am writing to express my deep frustration with the current state of Firefox browser. As a long-time user, I have been relying on Firefox for my daily browsing needs, but recent updates have completely ruined my experience.

The situation has become absolutely unbearable. My browser freezes for extended periods of time, making it impossible to work efficiently. Simple tasks like opening new tabs or navigating between pages turn into a painful waiting game.

What is even more concerning is the memory leak issue. Firefox consumes an astounding amount of RAM, often reaching up to 40 GB on my system. This is not only unacceptable but also renders my entire computer unusable. Other applications start crashing due to lack of available memory, forcing me to constantly restart the browser and lose all my work.

I have tried every possible troubleshooting step: clearing cache, disabling extensions, resetting settings — nothing helps. The problem persists across multiple versions and operating systems.

At this point, I am seriously considering switching to a different browser. The once-reliable Firefox has become a resource-hungry monster that destroys my workflow and productivity.

I hope you take these issues seriously and address them promptly. Otherwise, I fear many loyal users like myself will have no choice but to abandon Firefox.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

P.S. This letter is not written out of spite but rather as a desperate cry for help to save a browser I once loved.

Agree, I would love to use firefox as its one of the few browsers with no bloat, unlike edge or chrome. Including its security and privacy features. But this RAM issue is very frustrating, even without extensions or too many tabs it still uses more RAM and makes me hesitate to test its limits for more productivity on my system. It should not be the case that firefox only works best on high end systems. I would prefer it more light on my on any system to continue using it with ease.

I agree 100%.  I am considering going to another browser.  The latest up (7-22-25) Enterprise has ruined my computer.  I have been a very long time Firefox user and this new version is bad.  It has too many freezes and is beyond slow.  My password manager (Avast) disappeared and I spent a day trying to fix things with little luck.  I had to redo many things and I am not a technician--very disappointing and frustrating.

WOW! Glad to hear it's not my computer sick with a virus or something. I, too am having the same issue, though I use mine for gaming, not work. But still frustrating, none the less. I tried sending a report a broken site form & even THAT froze, disappeared, reappeared with all the inf I inputted erased. Hope they get on this issue soon, I do spend money on my games & have now lost a few things within the game due to the fact I now can't log in daily. GRRRRR!
