Can you stop putting adverts in the menus?

I think we all knew this kind of crap was coming sooner or later. We need to **bleep** this before the toilet becomes clogged.

You see the attached image? That is an advert. You know it's an advert, you're not stupid. I've just removed it from my history AND my bookmarks menus, yet it remains here, taking up the space of 4-5 menu items. It's designed to draw my attention and manipulate me into doing something that I otherwise wouldn't have bothered to do. I don't want to sign into my web browser, why would I do that? That doesn't sound like something a reasonable man would do.

It's not an option, there are options underneath it - this one is an advert. Remove it. If I wanted to see adverts, I'd use Chrome or Edge.

Bleep? Is "N i p" a bad word now?

Thanks, this helps to remove the issue, although for what it's worth I would also like Mozilla to stop doing this, because it's only going to get worse from here.

you got a solution for that in the language we are currently using? Firefox doesn't translate text when you have ai features turned off (hostile behavior, translation tech long predates ai), which i do. Where is this code supposed to go, i'm not a tech expert, I'm just a pissed off firefox user who hates obvious dark patterns and SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ANY OF THIS BECAUSE MOZILLA NEVER SHOULD HAVE IMPLEMENTED IN THE FIRST PLACE IT IF THEY WANTED TO KEEP THEIR USERS.

At the very least, the banner should be available as a config setting. Separate to the config setting for user accounts. For the use-case where people want the option of signing in, without the banner

Or better yet, the least a banner can do is have an X in the corner that instantly and permanently disables it

found the about:config solution turn "identity.fxaccounts.enabled" to false and restart browser.

Hello

I tested

identity.fxaccounts.enabled false and restart Firefox.
Access and identify to my account is no longer possible.
identity.fxaccounts.enabled true and restart Firefox.
Access and identify to my account is possible.

Cool, maybe that's not a solution for YOU, but for whomever doesn't want to USE AN ACCOUNT ON FIREFOX, it is the solution, as getting rid of the accounts feature WAS ENTIRELY MY INTENTION. I don't know why YOU needed to test it if YOU have a firefox account that you use and as such aren't being asked to log into an account you don't have and don't want through dark pattern banners! What is you angle here, dude?
