I regularly upload videos to my YouTube channel. These are event videos that often include copyrighted, popular music that has been approved for use on YouTube by the rights holders. I noticed a couple of weeks ago, that these videos would stop, skip, and stutter on playback within the first 30 seconds or so. Sometimes they would freeze entirely. I have found that this happens on both Windows 10 and Mac OS Sonoma. It does not happen in Chrome.
I did not see this happen with officially licensed music videos, but did see it with video from another creator who often uses copyrighted music. I suspect the issue has something to do with rights management in the browser. So I am reporting the problem here.

Hi bluezhift,
It sounds frustrating to have your videos stuttering, especially when using approved copyrighted music. Since it works fine in Chrome, the issue might be related to how other browsers handle rights management. YouTube’s content protection systems could be interfering with playback, especially for copyrighted tracks.
If you're looking for a smooth streaming experience, platforms like Spotify Premium handle licensed music seamlessly without interruptions. Until YouTube resolves this, try clearing your cache, updating your browser, or switching to Chrome for better playback.
