I hate the addition of widgets to the home page (or whatever you call the page that appears when you open a new tab). They're distracting and irrelevant. I turn them off... and every few days they're back on again.
My question is not so much "why is this happening?", but more "why don't you respect our choices, and leave the things we've disabled, disabled?"
Similarly, "Support Firefox" and "sponsored shortcuts" keep getting turned back on without my consent.
This behaviour does not leave a favourable impression :[
