That's not a naive question. I'm serious. Why does TBird have accounts? I honestly don't see any need for them and I believe that the many fans of identities (which work around the restrictions of accounts) would agree.
Yes, there are POP accounts and SMTP accounts, but I'm not 'talking' about server accounts. I'm 'talking' about TBird accounts, in the TBird application.
