What are you doing, Mozilla?

Firefox used to be a decent web browser but the recent updates are turning it into CLOGWARE. Firefox is consuming over 8GB of memory and slowing the PC down to a point that it stops responding. As if that is not enough, Firefox has created 23 Firefox.exe processes with only 10 tabs open in the browser. How is that even possible?

What is Firefox doing in the background to justify the usage of all these resources? There is absolutely no way that Firefox actually needs to reserve 8GB in browsing or in Youtube. What are you actually developing because the standard browsers were ready 10 years ago?

Thank you.

I agree. I've used Firefox as long as I have been using a browser, many, many years, and lately I've woken up the computer to see 96% of my 16 gigs in use and when I look at task manager it is Firefox using most of that with 7 pinned tabs. If I close Firefox and leave open Edge and Chrome it drops to 45%. I open Firefox again and it will be usable for a while then it creeps back up. I really want to support a Google and Microsoft alternative but it is tough. I've gone in and changed some of the register settings to supposedly minimize the memory Firefox can use and that didn't help. I'm considering just closing Firefox every night and starting it up again in the morning. Unfortunately, that takes a few minutes to fully load my pinned webmail and calendar pages. I am using an i7 Windows 10 machine, fully updated. I use Microsoft's PC Manager to clear out cache and temp files. I'm ready to switch browsers if this doesn't get fixed.

Maybe they're outsourcing their development team to the 3rd world?
