We dont want more AI garbage backed into everything.

I switched from Chrome because it was being a bloated turd of a browser back to Firefox and Ive been happy with it since. I know I'm not alone when I say we do not want more AI garbage baked into everything. It has its uses, sure, but it doesn't need to be in EVERYTHING. Companies are at a race to the bottom to make the worst products imaginable with AI and now I'm sad to see Firefox part of that race.

I likewise moved to Firefox some years ago because it was by far the best of the bunch. Chrome had become bloated rubbish and well, everything else more or less is Chrome under a veneer.

I don't want AI in Firefox, I don't want it in anything because it's slop, a terrible solution looking for a problem that doesn't exist. In doing so it's become a problem in of itself. Don't become part of the worst bubble in living memory, leave AI out of Firefox.

I just recently moved to Firefox. I am now uninstalling it because of this AI announcement.

I've heard Librewolf is a good alternative. I might be switching there very soon if a certain CEO doesn't step back from adding more AI.

I've been using Firefox for a while after being a long time Chrome user. I switched because of Chrome's negative performance and their hatred of any kind of ad-blocking, well before they stuffed "AI" into it. This proliferation of "AI" isn't one founded on what the users want in the browser, and I strongly doubt the CEO knows or much less cares about what the users want. So-called "AI" will not make Firefox better or even maintain what it is; it will only lead to the ruin of the brand while at least one executive runs off to ruin another foundational segment of the internet for their own short-term financial gain.

I imagine a direction this CEO will attempt to drag Firefox is to become yet another Chromium browser with all the bloat that drove many of us to Firefox in the first place.

AI garbage is not needed in firefox. If the new CEO is so wholeheartedly set on doing AI, make it it's own spin off browser or fork, not mainline Firefox.

Agentic AI is marketing nonsense and a massive security risk. I do not ever want this and just check your social feeds and you'll see a large portion of your users agree.

This is a horrible horrible idea and should be shot down with the strongest possible terms. Firefox is a browser. Not an AI platform. If this continues I will find another browser and leave Firefox behind after 15 years of using it.

At very very very very least if this must go through it should be OPT-IN NOT OPT-OUT. Shoving AI down people's throats hasn't worked for Google, hasn't worked for Microsoft, hasn't worked for Discord, hasn't worked for Apple, and will not work for you.

Please pass this message internally to whatever team handles this and make it abundantly clear that the only person who wants Firefox to be an AI browser is your new out of touch CEO who will be the death of this company if you don't course correct.

It's like they're honestly trying to reach the worst possible browser award with fevered obsession!! I need no "AI". I want no "AI". It's just a waste of technology that could be used in many better ways. I am ready to say goodbye to Firefox anyway, considering the near constant crashes.
