Hi,
I've been trying to search the web for a fix to this issue or even someone having the same problem as me but I to no avail.
I have transitioned to vertical tabs fairly recently, initially while using Edge, and transitioned back to Firefox after a 1.5 year hiatus. I have noticed that if I have "expand on hover" enabled Firefox, the tabs expand even if I don't hover them, every time I have to click something that is close to the vertical tabs, they start expanding. I noticed it is more frequent if I move my mouse quickly to the left and the only way to stop it expanding is if I randomly click on the webpage before moving back to what I wanted to press.
Is there a setting about expand on hover sensitivity that I can't find? Or is this just a bug? I don't think it's supposed to work this way and it really is causing issues in my workflow, as one of the webpages I use for work has an essential button I have to click on the top left corner and tabs expand 9/10 times I want to click that button.

Hello
Take a look at https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/vertical-tab-expand-on-hover-animations-are-annoyingly-sl...
You can try.
1 - Go to Configuration Editor for Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox
2 - Enter a search term sidebar.animation.expand-on-hover.duration-ms (value 400 by defaut)

This is actually the opposite problem. The issue is that the sidebar is appearing when it's not wanted. If you move your mouse too quickly towards the side of the screen, it pops out the tabs, even if you don't move your mouse over the tab bar. Also, if you move your mouse near that area again before the tabs are back, it pops them out again, often leading to a frustrating dance trying to click on navigation bars on sites.
For @nisll, what I ended up doing is moving my tabs to the right side. It's annoying, but I find I have less to click on that side, so I'm less frequently annoyed.
