Time is up if do not stop automatically downloading pdfs etc when you open then in Firefox

I know this is something that the community has been complaining about for a long time, but Mozilla/Firefox/whoever, if you do not stop the automatic downloading of pdfs and other files (Excel today!) when you open them in Firefox, despite years of requests and complaints, then it will finally be cheerio from me. A function I can't imagine anyone wants to be built-in. I give you a fortnight to bin it. Cheers.

I just used for 1 day, and I'm uninstalling now. I checked an option to check before downloading and picking WHERE I want that download to go. That is almost NEVER my download folder. I cannot even get back to any of these settings.

Now 'cloudfront' is blocking my from my medicare advantage website. I hope all of this goes away when I uninstall.

I'm really diappointed.
