Thunderbird: The buttons on the quick filter bar are too prominent (consider it as Ergonomics part 1)

In Thunderbird the buttons on the quick filter bar are too prominent compared to the rest of the views. The buttons doesn't correllate with what you type in the filter box, because results appear even when you type nothing in the filter box.
