This started with the previous Nightly build. I have "Open Messages" set to open in a new tab. Since the last Nightly build, the message will open in the new tab but the display does not switch automatically to the tab.
UPDATE: I went into the Config Editor and changed mail.tabs.loadInBackground from true to false. And it now works as it should!
