Until today I have regularly used the search bar feature that allowed you to search with a different engine on a search-by-search basis (I most frequently used it to search with Maps). The options would appear below the autocomplete suggestions when you started typing, and you would then click on your preferred engine to initiate the search.
After the latest update (149.0) that feature is gone. I can still change search engine using the dropdown next to the search field, but that means three clicks instead of one like before, which is too cumbersome to be useful.
Also, after changing search engine, autocomplete in the search field no longer works. Only when I revert to the default engine it starts working again.
This is a horrible update that neither seem to have been thought through nor tested properly. Please consider rolling it back.

100% this. The search bar used to be a way to search for something on a particular website, eg wikipedia, in fewer clicks than it would take me to go to the website first then enter a search. You've taken away what was the only reason I used that bar.

The new search bar update feels less user-friendly, as removing the one-click engine switch makes searching slower and less convenient. Restoring the old quick-switch option and fixing autocomplete issues would greatly improve the experience, similar to how chatpic keeps interaction smooth and simple.
