Search engine changed without explicit permission by me

Today I had my default search engine changed from Ecosia to DuckDuckGo. I don't trust DDG due to past controversies they have had. I have changed it back to Ecosia, but please don't force this change on me. If I get irritated enough to change my default search engine back to my preference because it got changed against my will, I will get irritated enough to complain about it.

Firefox should not be changing the default search engine without the user selection. There are some circumstances where third party software will change the default, but I suspect that may not be the case here.

If this happens again, please file an issue at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org and include details of your set-up, e.g. how you added Ecosia originally, the url used for DuckDuckGo when you search, any add-ons you've installed, when it happened, etc.

This will let us investigate and see if we can see what is happening.
