Rounded corners? No.

I absolutely HATE modern UI design philosophy. Look at how my system looks. I've set most of this up myself, to suit my needs and preferences, INCLUDING my visual perception issues.

How my system looks. How everything should look on my PC.

I am struggling with rounded corners. If something is round and soft - there's 9 out of 10 chance that my peripheral vision will register that object later than it will register something sharp-cornered. Now tell me, why the HELL did I get THIS in Firefox after latest update?

WHY IS THIS SO **bleep** ROUND? I CANNOT FOCUS LIKE THIS!

Because fixing performance and security is hard. Rounding corners is fun. Developers like fun.

If you wish to try browser.nova.enabled

1 - Go to configuration editor https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox
2 - Enter a search term browser.nova.enabled
You can double-click on the preference, to set its value to false

Its already slated to be removed in November, this doesnt help at all long term.

If it really gets removed in November, then it seems like it's time to look for an alternative to my favorite Firefox as well. Because I absolutely cannot stand rounded corners, circus's lighting—they prevent me from focusing on my work.

I went to the Waterfox fork - Nova is enabled but you can go into the settings and easily change it there.

Oh my gosh I could never put my finger on it, this makes so much sense why I hate rounded corners. Same here, it feels so distracting, exhausting and just plain soulless.

Yea, ever since I've been diagnosed with ASD I've decided to go deeper into how my brain works and why certain things may happen. Did some experiments, one day I've committed to evil and made my whole Linux COMPLETELY rounded and found out that I'm struggling to perceive and aim my mouse at rounded stuff. I can see it well, it's just my brain is struggling to decode it properly.
