Hi @Jon !
I came across some information about Mozilla’s plans to implement a native ad blocker, similar to Brave's. (I’m referring to this bug report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2013888).
I think this is a wonderful idea, but I’m concerned that it would interfere with the functionality of extensions like uBO, Adguard and ABP. Will there be a separate API for interactions between your built-in blocker and "external" blockers?
I assume these extensions are essential for a large number of Firefox users and will remain installed until the heat death of the universe.
I’ve also seen discussions in the online community about the practicality of implementing such a blocker when uBO and similar tools already exist.
However, I believe it’s necessary, at least for Apple platforms. That said, perhaps my information is outdated, so please let me know if I’m mistaken.
I would be extremely grateful if you could ask the team working on this issue about these important matters.
Best regards,
tw
