Remove AI from browser

I don't want any of my data to be sent to AI providers, nor do I want to feel like this is happening in the background.

Using AI in the browser should be optional: users should be able to activate it if they want to. Currently, it is not easy to deactivate AI integration. (it must be done via 'about:config'. and It isn't. update-persistent).

I've been using Firefox for 10 years because I really appreciate open source software and having control over my data.

However, it seems that Mozilla has fallen prey to the AI craze.

Please remove this AI nonsense from the browser, or at least provide users with a simple way to disable AI integration completely in the settings with a single click.

I'm in the same boat as you.

Firefox was my "home" for 20 years. My only internet browser.

However, Mozilla has embraced the crazy AI trend (which is already showing signs of being a bubble about to burst, as we'd say in Spain).

Firefox is no longer a safe haven for me, and it's complicated because I've now switched to another browser (Vivaldi, which has excluded AI from all its options)... But I still miss the old Firefox.

The one that shunned AI and cared about its users.

Same here, I totally agree.

If I want to use AI services I will just visit their websites or use their apps, separate from the browser. I don't want any AI integrated into Firefox.

I use Firefox simply becuse it is stable - or at least used to be until this farcical AI rubbish came along.

AI is what it says - Artificial - so not real just some prediction rubbish that someone in a warm office has dreamt up.

The world DOES NOT need it so please remove it from ANY browser, platform or anything that is associated with Firefox else you will honestly lose customers.

If you insist on making it available, by defaults set it so it is not visible and if a customer really feels they need it then get them to opt in - NOT the other way around.  It has no place in a lot pf people lives so please don't ram it down our throats with no option to disable it.
