This posting is for informational purposes only. I have provided this info here as the issue may be related to Firefox as well. Amazon Prime Video forum posting attached below.

Periodically Only Play Videos in Standard Definition Due to HDCP Requirements
Prime Video randomly will display a message (No Error Code) that states that the video will only play in Standard Definition due to my systems failure to meet HDCP requirements. This is false. All my hardware and connections are fully HDCP compliant. No other streaming platform has this issue. All other streaming platforms that provide DMCA protected videos have the same HDCP requirements and they play videos without this issue. Prime Video does not always display this message. For example: I started watching Halo Legends today. It played flawlessly in HD. I paused the video for about an hour. When I came back and restarted the video, it gave the HDCP message. This message is now persistent. However, in a few days Prime Video will stop giving this message. (This is not the first time this has happened.)
This is not a customer error, hardware issue or connection issue. This is an Amazon Prime Video HDCP detection issue. There is a bug in HDCP detection. This is likely not just an issue with Amazon Video Prime. Given the issues that have cropped up over the past few years, this is likely a communication issue between Prime Video, Microsoft Windows 10/11 and possibly with Mozilla Firefox.
