The download links for Android point to Google play. It's fine if you have Android phone that has Google play. But if you can't use Google play because you have custom ROM, or use Hawaii (or whatever the China Android is called), or whatever reason it's not important, the link just won't work.
Of course we could just web search Firefox APK and probably won't get a virus from downloading from somewhere unsecure. I feel like a better/safer option would be a small footnote-like link under ”get from play store" that links to a direct download of the official Firefox.
You can obviously add a warning saying like you will have to manually update the app yourself (meaning periodically redownloading and reinstalling APK) and having to enable side loading yada yada.
