I've just seen that Mozilla is jumping on the LLM bandwagon, a move that is patently devoid of anything one could call "intelligent". The last thing any of us needs is more wasteful, useless, counterproductive slop shoved down our throats, but presumably it makes CEOs more money or something, because they can't seem to stop flinging it at us. I, for one, will be removing all Mozilla products from all of my devices, because I refuse to prop up a Potemkin village grift of an "industry" that just needs to die yesterday.

The CEO clearly has absolutely zero idea of what the customers actually want.
This is from the interview he gave, where he brought up wanting to make firefox an AI company.
> One way to solve many of these problems is to get a lot more people using Firefox. And Enzor-DeMeo is convinced Mozilla can get there, that people want what the company is selling. “There is something to be said about, when I have a Mozilla product, I always know my data is in my control. I can turn the thing off, and they’re not going to do anything sketchy. I think that is needed in the market, and that’s what I hope to do.”
He seems to struggle with objective reality. Because AI is not needed in the market. It's the definition of sketchy. A company implementing AI is inherently untrustworthy, so people will no longer be able to trust that they are in control of their data. And people do NOT want AI.
The only thing adding AI is going to accomplish, is undoing any gains that firefox has had with regards to marketshare in recent times.
