Big Tech exploitation involves not only invasion of privacy, but also forcing people to buy new hardware - Windows 11, Chromebooks, and Apple Silicon Macs are good examples. And the vicious cycle of increasing wealth disparity leading to information disparity is already a reality.
I hope mozilla will correct these inequalities. In other words, I wish the manifesto would clearly state that it resists economic exploitation by big tech. Specifically, Firefox should remain the best browser for open source operating systems. To this end, it should be able to run on older hardware, thereby reducing the economic burden on users.
