New Firefox UI is HORRIBLE!

Spoiler
I always loved Firefox but this new UI in 157 is horrible. It is not just about the rounded corners but everything about it makes it harder to comfortably read. For example the menu bar is much smaller than it used to be....the pastel colors are annoying......and even changing to ASH does not get it back to how it used to look.
I just do not understand why developers think they have to go mess around with the visual aspects of the product. Most people just care about functionality and features. We don't want changes to the visual aspect of the program that upsets are ability to see on the screen what we need to see.

And all this garbage about going into about:config to find some setting to change or turn off is ridiculous. All you did is make it much harder to use. They should have given the users the choice to either utilize this new NOVA BS or stick with what we know without having to jump through hoops.

Now I am probably going to have to search for another browser that is much easier to read and does not force you to jump through a bunch of hoops just to be able to do so.

Ugh!!!! what a disaster FIREFOX!!!!

The "browser.nova.enabled" to false workaround in about:config is scheduled to stop working
in Firefox 161, due for release on November 24th.

Long-term, moving to a different browser may be wise.

Floorp, Librewolf* and Waterfox* are some of the most-recommended alternatives to Firefox.

* both of these default to the new "Nova" look, but provide easy ways to turn it off

I came here to comment on this. Same on desktop Linux, the new rounded edges make tabs both more narrow so less of the title shows and also make them take up more space with larger gaps between the tabs. The rounds are egregiously huge, the margins on elements are enormous, there's just so much wasted space everywhere.

I would individually be fine if some of these were options for a touchscreen but that they're just there to waste space on my desktop is deeply irritating.
