Mozilla update 4/23/2025 causing AT&T / SBC Global login bug

CPW
Making moves

There was a storm in my area last night so I turned my desktop off. When I started up this morning Firefox did an automatic update. After the update I went to log into my AT&T / SBC Global mail account as I have done since Firefox was first introduced and I became a user. From AT&T I got the following message...

Something's gone wrong We may be having trouble with your connection. Connecting your device to Wi-Fi could help fix the issue or try again later. If you were using an app, close this page. Otherwise, start over.

There was obviously no issue with my connection as I was logged into other sites simultaneously. The issue can't be with AT&T as I was logged in via my mobile device / phone and was able to log on in other browsers. I searched the internet to see if anyone had already found and posted the fix and found that A WHOLE LOT of people, in A WHOLE LOT of forums are having the same issue, but that as of yet no one had found a verified fix. Most advised clearing the Cache which I did several times by several different methods which made no difference. I tried logging in in a private Firefox window and got the same message. I restarted the computer and again got the same message. There is no other explanation other than the problem MUST be with the update. How wonderful it is that there is no way to contact Mozilla / Firefox directly, even by online chat.
