Mozilla Thunderbird unable to print

HP desktop computer running up-to-date Windows 10.
Within the last couple of weeks I've discovered that my Mozilla Thunderbird is unable to print to my HP printer, even though all the other programs/apps on my computer can print as normal. Whenever I try to print an email from Thunderbird, using the Thunderbird "Print" menu option, I either get no response or an error message saying "The printer is in an error mode". Either way nothing shows up in my print queue.

Does that also happen in Troubleshoot mode(https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird)?

We're experiencing the same issue with Win 11. Printer will only spit out a blank page. In order to print, we have to save the file to our desktop, then print the file as a separate operation.
