I have been having several issues with Firefox, and one of the most annoying is Firefox creating Shortcut Icons on my Homepage with no way of removing them.
This has been an ongoing problem with Firefox for at least three years now, which is verifiable after searching through these community boards. Users have been asking about this automatic creation of Icons, and noting the Icons they cannot delete (Dismiss selection) from their Homepage for three years. And there has not been any response from Mozilla about why this happens, if they plan on fixing it, or of they even care.
So, correcting these two problems would most likely get people to start using Firefox again, but apparently Mozilla is not any different from the other Tech companies they try to make look like the "bad guys" in their fund raising posts looking for handouts.
