Hey all,

Happy 2026 and welcome to another edition of the Monthly Recap—not to be confused with our Weekly Recap (which we publish every Friday).

This post will highlight the top 15 most-voted ideas for the previous month. While some are ‘new ideas’ and others may already be ‘in development’ (learn more about The Idea Journey here), we encourage you to continue voting and sharing your feedback—the more details, the better. Our teams are regularly looking at ideas and threads here as they plan and prioritize future roadmaps.

Without further ado, here they are…

Put the AI stuff into an optional add-on

Customizable hotkeys

Prefer hardware-accelerated codecs

Mobile tab grouping

Make AI Features Opt-In/Make Disabling AI Features Simple

automatically hide an AI image when you label it

Bring back PWA (progressive web apps)

Profiles - an option to password-protect each profile

Synced WORK SPACES (or Synced Tab Groups)

Replace Android Colour Picker

Support JPEG XL

Option to allow extensions to run only on specific websites.

FireFox logo choices.

Deny websites to mangle the clipboard content

Double click Dictionary

And that's it for the month of December.

Want to show your support for one (or more) of the ideas above? Click on the idea link, give it kudos, and add your insights.

Is there another idea here on Connect that you think deserves more attention? Tag it in the comment section below. Sometimes a little extra visibility helps!

Or do you have the next great idea for a new feature/feature enhancement/brand new product/you name it? Submit it right here 💡

Unfortunately you will likely ignore all the feedback that says "do not add AI SPAM"

Thanks for sharing this recap! It’s really helpful to see which ideas gained the most traction in December and get a sense of what improvements the community cares about. Monthly summaries like this are a great way to track trends over time and make sure contributors know their votes and feedback are being acknowledged. I especially appreciate the focus on features that improve both usability and cross-platform experience, because those are the areas where community insight often leads to meaningful enhancements.

I’d love to see even more updates from the Mozilla team on what’s actually moving into development based on these top-voted ideas—knowing a roadmap or timeline would help us prioritize where to continue voting and giving feedback. Keep these recaps coming! They make Mozilla Connect feel like a collaborative place where the community can really shape future releases.

Jon, I've got a great idea that will even save Firefox some money: don't add AI features to Firefox!
