We’re excited to share an early update on work we’re planning to create a more connected Mozilla community!
The tl;dr is that we’re aiming to build a unified experience between product support, feedback, discussions, and interactive activities—all in one place.
The longer story…
As part of our long-term community strategy, we’re beginning work to bring Mozilla Connect onto the Mozilla Support platform in early 2027. Our goal is to create a more seamless experience for community members, making it easier to participate, while preserving the unique purpose and strengths of Connect.
Importantly, this does not mean Connect and SUMO will immediately become a single experience. The first step is for Connect to remain a dedicated space for product feedback, ideas, and discussion while operating on the same platform as Mozilla Support. This will help create a solid foundation for us to build on over time.
The bigger vision is one all-inclusive Mozilla product community, but getting there will happen gradually and collaboratively—we need your help.
Soo, what is changing about Connect?
We know many of you contribute because you care deeply about Mozilla products and want your feedback and ideas to help inform them.
That won’t change.
In fact, one of the top priorities of this work is to make product conversations even more visible and accessible by connecting them more closely with the greater Mozilla community.
We want to build upon the things that make Connect valuable today, including:

This is a cry for help and an alarm signal for all the deaths caused by global heating which is caused by "AI". mozilla is participating in my approaching death, and the death of already innumerable people. With my credentials in background, I have to say you're right in a way, but you're majorly wrong. There are companies like proton, for example, they are, without a doubt, privacy security focused. They put blogs out right in google's face about what they do. I'm i've been a developer for samsung. I've been one 4 google. That said, i've also had a little training by nord v p n their cybersecurity. Education but at a privileged level. But I interact heavily with proton, they have lumo, that is their LLM i actually have credentials in a lot of knowledge in AI. Architecture and infrastructure neural networks et cetera. That said, what would really help these companies like firefox? If you're listening? Put more emphasis on how you operate your language models. For example, proton has a page similar to this. Their idea page, they mentioned their language model, long beforehand and everybody thought it was terrible. But they specialize in the best encryption and privacy products. There is their language model is only look less server. But that said, I am heavy, heavy devoted to privacy and security. I cannot stand the data mining that is taking place. And when you have the knowledge and credentials that I have, it makes you sick to even hold your device. But that said, I use them myself, I had to learn them, because in cybersecurity, that's the only way, if you don't learn Artificial Intelligence, there's nothing for you. The point I'm trying to make is people even run local models. It's not connected to any guardrails or safety protocol. It starts off as a base model on the user trains. It, that's more the advanced level stuff. But anyways, the point is, Firefox could have their AI anonymously randomized, and they would not know what user said what they could go even further. And it could be encrypted, and they couldn't see it at all. And then they could offer a feedback of the interaction, and they could do this by putting the safety guardrails and protocols that they need to basic cover basic safety. So you could still have a I. It doesn't mean it's the end of firefox. I think they just need to be a little more open and make sure they overly explain how they're implementing it into their browser. I think that's the issue.
