I have a possibly weird workflow, where I save PDFs from a tutorial web-site (to avoid all the dynamic advertising), and then I copy some of the text from the PDF into a text-editor for making notes.
However, certain character combinations in the web-page (fi, fl, ff) creates the UTF-8 Replacement Character (EFBFBD) when I copy text from the PDF to the text-editor. I see the same when using other web-browsers.
Anyone know a work-around for avoiding this?
