Include email preview text in the card view

I recently set up Thunderbird on Windows and saw that there was no option to enable preview text in the card view of the inbox. This has been an essential feature in nearly all email clients. Even the mobile version of Thunderbird supports this. I would like to see this added to the desktop version. There's clearly space and it makes every email look like it's missing something.

This was one of the most jarring losses in the email client when I switched from Microsoft Outlook to Thunderbird ... I really hope it gets on the developers' to-do list.  The  third line in the card view is largely wasted.  It should, of course, be fainter than the name of the sender and the actual subject line. I hope to plug in with some suggestions but I haven't quite figured out how to do so constructively.  Thunderbird rivals or bests Microsoft Outlook in some areas (I love the tabs), but the UI of the card view needs work beyond tweaks that are possible using css.
