Currently, every time I open Firefox, the "Updating" message appears, and I have to wait for it to finish before browsing. This delays startup and is annoying, as it interrupts the natural flow of using the browser.
I suggest two possible improvements:
Updates should be performed when the browser is closed, so that it's immediately ready to use when opened.
Updates should be able to run in the background while browsing, transparently to the user.
This way, Firefox would feel faster and smoother at startup, improving the daily experience for thousands of users.
