Please correct me if I am wrong, back in the dark days of dial up internet, I was an avid support of Internet Navigator, I was led to believe that Firefox was an off shoot of this great web browser. I have never used MS built in or addon explorer / edge. It is bad enough their OS spies as much as it does and is never backwards compatible with your software.
So from the inception of Firefox, I have used, donated and been a happy fellow. Well that is until we have come to recent times. Now I cannot even begin to say where this begins, but I know that recently the updates are rolling out faster than a microsoft panic about Linux. The addition of a VPN seemed good, but it never works for me, so I will stick with my proven and trusted VPNac thanks.
The last several updates have caused an issue with YouTube and is has not been addressed, I realise that you are all busy and do many great things but it is frustrating to click a new video and the image on the screen is the same one as you last had. This does not occur in other browsers by the way! I hear people going to say "Clear your cache", but my system is set to auto clear each shutdown/restart.
This is just one of many issues I do not understand, for instance. I could use Firefox for ALL my browsing needs, but now some sites it sits and does nothing or tells me it is an unsafe site (my bank or medical fund), or simply an error code fail which is always the same, something to small to read without a magnifying glass but is https:// error. --------- If you get the gist of that. So now, I must keep an assortment of browsers available to access individual websites. Not funny anymore and like I would trust "Google Chrome", NOT!
I have had three updates in the last two weeks, but I honestly do not see that much improved. True, I have given up reading the update information because there are so many these days. I have better uses for my laptop than reading Ff update reports. I am seriously getting to old for this **bleep**. Maybe if I was younger, not as blown up as I am with missing bits, I would not feel so cranky about minor issues, but sometimes being a Veteran puts you in a place where you do not see the sunlight for days. So, I apologize if my attitude is a bit blunt. I am not looking for Sympathy, we all know where you can find that, its in the dictionary between **bleep** and syphilis!
I just want to know why so may updates to a once great browser, and I do appreciate some of the changes, but I have reported and sent information about my problems for almost a year and no fix, no reply, nothing. Shouldn't the browser be stable, capable of opening any web page it comes up against so that we do not have to have others for some specific sites? It defeats the purpose of having it in the first place.
Well, I have had my say. I will leave it at that. Sometimes it is just good to say it out, even if nobody listens. One of the things I have learnt about PTSD, don't hold it in...it will eat you up and the outcomes are never good!
