FIREFOX TASKBAR ICON HAS BLACK BOX

After Firefox Update 144.02 I noticed my Fx icon in the Windows 10 taskbar now has a small black box on the bottom part. Is this something that needs my attention?

As the poster, you should be notified of all replies.

Hi Siffemcon. Unfortunately I haven't received any notification that you've replied to me twice. I have this page bookmarked, and had to come here and check manually.

Thank you for the link, I read about assigning avatars and different colors for each profile and how it's done. Thing is, when I click on the 'account' icon. I get this image at the bottom here.

If I click anything on that image, my monitor screen goes dark. If I go to about:profiles there's nothing there to let you  customize either profile. I'm stuck!!!

Odd. Try clicking 'Options' on your OP > Subscribe.

Odd again - no idea why. Are you using a theme?

The new profiles won't appear there. If the new profile isn't behaving, you could just create another one at about:profiles.

I checked my notification setting within my profile, and everything seems to be OK Siffemcon.

No themes, just dark mode for Windows 10.

I think that most likely, I haven't received the new 'profile switcher' yet, as it's being rolled out. 

I think that's odd that you can create a new profile using your account button on your menu, and it doesn't show in about:profiles. After all it is another profile. 

I'm really want that profile switcher to work on my menu bar so I can switch between profiles  nice and easily. Maybe one day. 🤔

As I said, the new profiles won't appear on about:profiles because they are two separate systems. There are still a bunch of bugs in the new system - you could report yours at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi/.
