Firefox not browsing blocked websites in China (with VPN)

I am based in China and use a VPN to access blocked websites and apps on my mobile phone and MacBook Air. This problem happened a few weeks ago as well. For the last 2 days, it happened again. When creating a new profile, it still can't browse Google/Facebook/YouTube, etc. I tried to "refresh" Firefox, and it did not solve the problem. Now today, using Firefox 149, I can't find the Refresh button.

Chrome and Safari works 100% on the same MacBook. However, I want to continue using my Firefox. However, I'm running out of patience for these and other performance related issues with Firefox after more than 15 years.

What type of proxy are you using? Are you on a regular VPN, or one of those specific anti-censorship tools that we refer to as 'airports' in China?

If your proxy doesn't have a split tunneling feature, or if you're able to set it to global mode, try checking your IP at https://whatismyipaddress.com/. Usually, this is a problem with the proxy settings, not Firefox.
